Winter brings new and exciting experiences to the north with opportunities for snowmobiling, ice fishing and hunting. Hunting and fishing licenses are available right across the road at Black River Party Store. Onaway has two sporting goods stores for those needing apparel or other hunting supplies.

The location is perfect, while adventuring through the north. Petoskey - Harbor Springs for your shopping needs and if you want to try you hand at gambling there are nearby casinos located in Petoskey and St. Ignace. Gas stations, grocery, restaurants and convenience stores in Onaway, only 6 miles east on M-68. Fast food just 18 miles traveling west on M-68 to Indian River.
